How do I lift a BMW 3 correctly and safely with a 2-column lift?

Special features of the vehicle: The pick-up points of the BMW3 are positioned towards the exterior of the vehicle.

1. If you want to lift a BMW 3 without double telescopic arms, make sur that the 4 carrying arms are positioned away from the direction you drive in. Drive in the vehicle, positioning it dead center between the two columns.
2. Position the vehicle to align the rearview side mirrors with the columns of the lift.
3. Position the 4 carrying arms.
4. Turn the pick-up pads as high as possible. Make sure that all 4 arms are at the same height.
5. Lift the vehicle slightly. Check the correct position of the pick-up pads and that the gears are engaged. Adjust if necessary.
6. Lift the vehicle to the desired height.
